A flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kelantan, a taxi ride from Kelantan airport to Kuala Besut jetty in Terengganu and a boat ride from the jetty, will take you to the beautiful islands of Pulau Perhentian Besar and Pulau Perhentian Kecil, just 20km off the coast. With their crystal-clear aquamarine water and white-sand beaches they are among Malaysias biggest tourist attractions. The smaller island, Kecil, has an abundance of cheap chalets and lively café-bars, and is popular with the younger backpacker crowd, while Besar offers higher standards of accommodation and a quieter, more relaxed ambience. The undecided can cross the strait from island to island for around RM10 (about five to 10 minutes). The more-expensive resorts on Besar have excellent restaurants, with seafood and barbecues being particularly good; all are open to nonguests. Over on Kecil, there are a few reasonable cafés serving up the usual burgers, pasta, beach barbecues and fish and chips. Alcohol is available in cafés, shops and hotel restaurants on both islands, though its not always advertised and you may have to ask for it. Prices are, naturally, higher than on the mainland. These islands basically shut …
First off i am looking for a cheap barbecue in the 50 to 100 bucks range, and i am a new buyer, never shopped for a barbecue, seen alot of them but i know nothing about them. i need all the info i can to buying a good barbecue.
i’ve also heard from a friend that a side burner is a must for a barbecue, is it really that important?
i also don’t care what company the barbecue is from, as long as it’s a good working barbecue that will last me for the next 2 to 3 years.
though if it makes a difference, then tell me about different company’s too.
hi a group of about ten of us are going away for two weeks, we’ll be staying in tents in a caravan park..we’ll have access to many shops…a basic kitchen with a fridge, microwave and maybe stove..
any ideas for easy cheap but tasty meals that will feed a group of 18-20 year old boys and girls??
heres what i was thinking:
-barbeques–like sausages and steak and all that
-maybe an easy pasta one night –just cook spaghetti and put on pasta sauce
-fish and chip/pizza/burgers a couple of times for take out
-cold meat sandwiches
-a big plate of lettuce, cheese, diff cold meats etc..and bread–we can make what we want
-homemade hamburgers
any further ideas? as i said, its not bush camping, but we will be in tents
thanks
