Cheap Charcoal Barbecues.
One of the great things about a charcoal barbecue is the smell. Many people would completely disagree with me on this subject, but really when your using charcoal you can really tell. Why would this be important? Very simply, a barbecue is not just about food, it all about atmosphere.
Think of it this way, if you can remember a great barbecue you have been at what do you really remember. I would sincerely doubt its the taste of a sausage, or the crunch of some hot pork cracking. My bet is on the sight of a puff of smoke, the fight to get the darn thing lit and complete satisfaction when its finally blazing away.
Can a cheap charcoal barbecue be any good? You betcha! If ever there was a type of barbecue which does not depend on cost its a charcoal barbecue. You can even buy a disposable charcoal barbecue for a few pounds that can get the job done without any mess and now cleaning afterwords.
If your planning on more than one barbecue its wise to choose a charcoal barbecue depending on a number of factors.
Firstly size, don’t forget the bigger the barbecue the more charcoal your going to need to use.
Very important if you only have a small bag of fuel and an enormous barbecue.
Secondly convenience, charcoal barbecues can take a long time to light and you should always be prepared to spend quite a bit of time waiting for the coals to heat up, something to factor in if you have a lot of hungry visitors waiting to be fed.
Lastly, the build of the charcoal barbecue can differ wildly from model to model. Some are as light as tin and bend in the breeze, others are made of solid brick and no matter how much you huff and puff they going no-where. If you wish to have the barbecue as a ‘feature’ in your garden then its well worth spending an extra few sheckles to get the job done right.
